Centered Wellness NY

Rooted in Education & Inclusive Practice

Centered Wellness NY is led by a certified special and general educator with advanced training in educational leadership and museum-based arts education, offering sound and structured self-regulation workshops for schools, families, and community groups across Long Island and NYC.

The Sound Sanctuary

The Sound Sanctuary at Centered Wellness NY is an intentionally curated sound space serving NYC and Long Island, dedicated to centering, sensory awareness, and structured self-regulation experiences.

It is a calm, purposeful environment designed to invite stillness and connection to your senses. Natural elements are thoughtfully integrated throughout the space, grounding the experience and supporting emotional regulation, focus, and presence.

Instruments are introduced as both works of art and structured tools for centering. Sound may open or close workshops, support transitions, or anchor engagement within SCANA™ self-regulation sessions for students, educators, and school communities — always with intention.

The Sound Sanctuary is also mobile. Sound and self-regulation workshops for schools, educators, and community groups can be brought directly into classrooms and organizations across NYC and Long Island while maintaining the same intentional design.

What is SCANA?

SCANA is a structured, accessible framework designed for educators to support student self-regulation, communication, awareness, navigation of physical and emotional experiences, and advocacy. Integrated into workshops and classroom practice, it helps students build confidence, strengthen academic readiness, and explore meaningful career pathways.

SCANA can be introduced through workshops or expanded into professional development and educator training.
